Burnet Moise was born in Jean Rabel, Haiti, and raised in Jean Rabel and Port-au-Prince, Haiti. In Jean Rabel, Dr. Moise attended St. Dominic's Catholic Elementary School, and the first two years at College Bethel, High School—where he was an active student leader, avid reader, and soccer player.
Later, Dr. Moise attended the Petit Seminaire College St Martial in Port–au Prince, receiving his high school diploma in 1985, during which he applied for the priesthood life to become a priest. He owes his vocation, he says to a Monfortain priest, Rev. Father Corneille, who taught him in his Catholic Elementary School.
Upon graduation from the Petit Seminaire College St Martial, Dr. Moise became a postulant of the Redemptorist Order at St. Gerard, Port-au-Prince. He attended the Grand Seminaire Notre Dame, receiving a Bachelor of Art in Philosophy. He attended a number of colleges and universities in Haiti, New Jersey and Florida: Faculty of Human Sciences for Psychology and Law School of Gonaives, Nova University, and Florida Atlantic University.
After the Grand Seminaire Notre Dame, Dr. Moise attended Seton Hall University, South Orange in New Jersey and obtained an Associate degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Divinity (Theology).
After graduation from Seton Hall University in 1993, Dr. Moise was ordained to the priesthood on October 10, 1993, in the Diocese of Newark, New Jersey. From 1993 to 1994, he was vicar of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Secaucus. From 1994 to 1997, he was assigned parish priest of the Sacred Heart Church, in Irvington. From 1998 until his transfer to the Anglican Church, he was working at the Bishop Office in the Bahamas and then Vicar of Christ the King. From 1998 to 2001, he was appointed as parish priest of St. Joseph Episcopal Church, Boynton Beach, Florida. From 2001 to 2005, he took a leave of absence from the parish to go to medical school at Windsor School of Medicine in the Caribbean (S. Kitts and Nevis). Since 2006, he has been the Chancellor of Burnett International University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Haiti and St. Kitts. As a priest, he still helps at the Holy Redeemer Church in Lake Worth, Florida. He is preparing for his USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) so that he can do his residency in Psychiatry.
